The power of Instagram. It has its highs and lows, yet can be such a wonderful tool to feel connected and inspired in whatever season of life you are in. As a semi-new mama, it has been an outlet I have loved utilizing to 'meet' other moms, discover new brands, and get style and travel inspiration.
I've highlighted a few accounts that I have found useful lately - from finding new children's books and baby style, to inspiring stories of motherhood.
Oh Mama Co | @ohmamaco: One of my favorites, Oh Mama Co is an interactive online resource for mothers to connect within a community, share stories, and learn from one another. I love how their site states "where moms can finally worry less about where to get their information and grant them more time to remember that these are the days." Genius.
Mother Mag | @mothermag: An account I've followed since the early days of finding out we were expecting. A modern parenting site, Mother was started by two moms (one is Nashville-based James Kicinski-McCoy of Bleubird), and they are a full-service site covering everything from a taste into the lives of momprenuers, pregnancy/mom style, beauty must haves, and mama cocktail recipes. One of my favorite features is their 'Mother Hoods' section, offering kid-friendly city guides for places around the world.
Mini Style | @ministyleblog: A fun blog to follow for fashion inspiration for your minis. They feature beautiful in-home shoots for brand's upcoming collections - which I find to be extremely useful when shopping for your kids is being able to see clothing in action that's not only beautiful, but also liveable, breathable, and play-friendly.
Tiny Readers | @tinyreaders: A feed started by a mama who wanted to share her love for beautifully illustrated children's books. I love stopping by her page to get ideas of what great books are on the market and filling children's shelves these days. A friend gave this book to Faire for her birthday, and its definitely a new favorite in the house.
Etsy for Littles | @etsyforlittles: A curated selection of simple and modern Etsy shops for kids. Everything from wooden toys, banners, to crafts and handmade clothing. Make sure to check out the hashtag #etsyforlittles to find additional shops and products that might not make it to their feed.
Kid & Coe | @kidandcoe: Planning an upcoming vacation with kids in tow? Kid & Coe provides a beautifully curated selection of kid-friendly vacation rentals all over the world, within all price ranges. We haven't used them yet, but some of the available rentals are gorgeous enough to make me want to plan a trip just around the home. Definitely worth checking out before you hit up Airbnb.
Mini Magazine | @minimagazine: A digital magazine catering to the style savvy parent and her children, Mini Magazine covers a full array of topics, including parenting tips, nursery inspiration, and advice for traveling with kids.
What social accounts have you found useful as a mother? I would love to hear your favorites!
